inRange Solutions was founded by Steve Liebezeit and Ed Gomez, two guys sitting around a kitchen table who saw an enormous opportunity. The way telecommunications companies maintained and deployed their infrastructure to grow their networks and services hadn’t changed in 20 years. Millions of dollars and were being wasted when workers were showing up to jobs at the wrong time, with the wrong equipment. Poor forecasting and a lack of centralized planning resulted in constant delays, rework, and wasted resources. Because processes were simply being repeated, without any consideration for the situation, these problems would persist.
Steve and Ed saw an opportunity to create a better methodology by rethinking how process, people, and a technology platform could work in tandem to shorten the critical path and get things done faster.
